Are You Experiencing Leg Length Differences Due to a Recent Hip Replacement, Use Of Fracture Boot or Wound Healing Shoe?

Penguins are cute!  But walking like one can hurt your knee, hip or back - An Evenup makes all the difference!

Evenup can help! Leg length inequality is a common complaint after hip replacement surgery. While surgeons try to leave patients with an equal leg length, there are times when leg lengths may turn out to be different after hip replacement surgery. This discrepancy can lead to back pain and discomfort. The good news is that Evenup can easily remedy this situation without the need for costly orthopedic shoes.

Evenup provides a 1/2" to 1" lift to help offset the additional height brought about by wearing an orthotic walking boot or other apparatus. Evenup works on both the left and right foot. No designation is required. Medium (shoe sizes 9 - 11)

Please note that our sizes have changed! Use the measurement technique below to determine your appropriate size even if you have ordered in the past.

The measurement of the sole of the shoe is used to determine the appropriate size of Evenup™. See image below for the proper measurement technique.

Measurement Women's Shoe Size Men's Shoe Size Recommended Evenup™ Size
A sole measurement between 10 inches (254mm) and 11 1/4 inches (286mm) 5 - 8.5 6 - 8 SMALL
A sole measurement between 11 1/2 inches (292mm) and 12 3/4 inches (324mm) 9 - 11 8.5 - 10.5 MEDIUM
A sole measurement between 13 inches (330mm) and 14 1/2 inches (368mm) 11.5 - 13 11 - 13 LARGE
A sole measurement greater than 14 1/2 inches (368mm) 13.5+ 13.5+ EXTRA LARGE

Note: It is generally best to choose an Evenup™ a little too small rather than a little too big. This means if your shoe measurement is between two of the measurements, like 11 1/4 inches - 11 1/2 inches, or measures 11 3/8, it is best to go with the small. Also note the shoe size the best correlates with the size as well.

1. Put on your Evenup while sitting down. Place your good foot over your opposite knee. Place the front portion of the Evenup strap over the toes of your shoe. 2. Pull the elastic straps toward the heel of the shoe and adjust the side straps over the sole of the shoe. Pull up the heel tab to securely fasten to the sole of the shoe.
3. Make sure the Evenup name is facing out! 4. Utilize the velcro strap provided to securely fasten the Evenup to your shoe. Place the strap through the loop and around the thicker band.

Please note that improper use or installation of the Evenup could result in injury. Always exercise caution and care when using the Evenup.

Absolutely mandatory to even up your leg length when wearing a walking boot (removable cast

Posted by CityGal on 2nd Mar 2017

Essential for anyone wearing a walking boot (removable cast), even briefly. I originally balked at spending nearly $30 to buy this device, rationalizing that I'm likely to only be in my walking boot for 3 weeks (but possibly for 6 weeks) due to a torn tendon. However, even one day walking with legs of different lengths is horrible. It is hard enough to get used to wearing the boot (but yes, so much better than having a plaster cast!!!), but to have one leg longer than the other is dreadfully hard on your hips, knees, back, and so on. I thought I could manage by using shoe inserts or such with my own shoes, but I couldn't get the height right. I relented very quickly and had Amazon send this item. I have to say it is sturdier than it looks and is better made than it may seem. The straps, both Velcro and rubber, are substantial and sturdy. It is easy to slip on the soles of a few pairs of my shoes, but it will not fit a standard woman's dress shoe. I can wear it on my Sketchers Mary Jane type shoes as well as on my walking shoes and a pair of Lands End rubber soled clogs. That's it. There is also a removable middle layer that secures with Velcro to the bottom layer, so you can try it with and without that to fine tune the final height. I can drive with it on, easily. It is easy to walk with, and I believe that anyone who is wearing a walking boot MUST use this device unless he or she just happens to have the perfect shoe already at home to give them the right height on their good leg. Whoever says that this should be included with a walking boot is absolutely correct! But since it isn't, do your back a favor and get one. You won't regret it.

Great product! My daughter needs to be in a boot for a month and this helped to even out her walking. Her doctor gave us the name of the product.
